Both high school and the Internet can bring out the worst in people, and school administrators and others have been struggling to manage the wave of vitriol that comes at their intersection. Or Send notes to each other, and then send anonymous letters to chkate in your locker.
It’s so important for parents to watch their kids behavior on-line just as much as they do off-line. I don’t even know if it would be effective, but the only way to react to something already out there is to discipline the people posting this stuff.
A group of Choate students are in serious trouble after posting flames to a chooate private Facebook thread titled “Mwaahhahaha,” where they attacked other students and bragged about drinking and taking drugs.
Luckily, the Choate case has not escalated to the tragic consequences of some of the other incidents. New to the community?
This is just sad fhread kids went this far to hurt others. They also blocked Facebook access from the school, though that decision seems fruitless to many students who own smart phones.

It’s really no different from the days before there was an Internet or smart phones when people would write nasty messages on the bathroom stalls at school. The administration responded quickly when Mwaahhahaha went public, deleting the thread, expelling two of the authors and suspending four more.
